What can you do at Lambs Farm?

Lambs Farm’s Farmyard brings animal encounters and several family attractions together in one place. The farm began in 1961, when Bob Terese and Corinne Owen opened a small pet shop on Chicago’s State Street.
The Farmyard includes a Petting Area, Discovery Center, miniature train, carousel and miniature golf. Lambs Farm says its mission is to help people with developmental disabilities lead productive, happy lives and connect with the human spirit.
What animals can you see at the petting zoo?

The Farmyard has more than 100 animals, including goats, sheep, cows, horses and pigs. In the Petting Area, you can give the goats attention and brush them, but guests do not feed those goats.
Hay bags cost $1 each and are available for feeding cows, llamas, goats, sheep and horses. Keep that distinction in mind: the hay bags are for the listed animals, while the Petting Area goats are not fed by guests.
What attractions are at the Farmyard?

Beyond the animals, the Farmyard has a Discovery Center, miniature train, carousel and miniature golf. Attraction operations may vary, so check which activities are running before you set out.
When attractions are operating, they close for lunch from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., then close for the day at 3:30 p.m. Plan your activities around that break and closing time; the Farmyard itself is open until 4 p.m.
What are Lambs Farm’s hours and admission?

The Farmyard is open year-round. Admission is $12 per person for ages 2 years and older, with unlimited access to available attractions.
